DNA Chromatogram Explorer is the perfect sequence analysis too. With DNA Chromatogram Explorer you can automatically view, trim and convert all chromatogram files (SCF, ABI, AB1, AB) in the current folder while you are navigating through your computer.

DNA Chromatogram Explorer is a very easy to use sequence analysis tool that will list all chromatogram files (SCF, ABI, AB1, AB) in the current folder. You can view the chromatograms while browsing through folders using its integrated Windows Explorer. DNA Chromatogram Explorer can also trim low quality bases at the ends of your samples and convert the sequences from one format to another with a single push of a button!

Now you can process/sort/search chromatograms in seconds.

How to use it
Start DNA Chromatogram Explorer, and locate the folder that contains your chromatogram files. All chromatogram files (ABI/SCF) will be shown in the right panel. Low quality ends are shown in dark gray color.

Press 'Save' and your file will be saved as SCF of FASTA (you can choose the output format), while the low quality bases at the ends will be automatically trimmed. Chromatogram Explorer is so small that you can put it on a floppy disk of Flash stick and taken it with you.

Install process
The program is delivered in a very small package together with other free molecular biology tools. Just download the package and double click it. It will automatically self-extract. All operating systems from Windows 98 to Windows XP are supported.

Uninstall process
Because Chromatogram Explorer installs zero files in your computer, you don't need to uninstall it. To uninstall the Chromatogram Explorer, just delete it.

Portability
This program is very small so you can easily copy it on a USB flash stick or floppy disk and take it with you or send it to your colleagues via email.
