Update vs. Upgrade

Unless otherwise specified, the customer receives FREE access to updates we release for our products. However, you cannot freely upgrade from a lower version to a higher version. For example, if you have purchased DNA Baser v2.0, you can freely update to v2.91 but you need to follow the Upgrade Path in order to upgrade to v3.0.

The Upgrade Path also allows you to upgrade from an inferior license to a superior one (for example from SingleUser to Network or to Site) or from version 2 to version 3.

Q: Why do I have to pay in order to upgrade?

A: DNA Baser v3 is considered a new product. Therefore, in order to use it you need to purchase it. It is exactly as you would want to upgrade your Window XP license to Windows Vista/7.
