The Unlock Key

 



What is the Unlock Key?

To switch DNA Baser from a trial to a full working version or from expired trial to working trial, you need a valid Unlock Key (also called 'license key' or just 'key'). The Unlock Key is nothing else than a small string (numbers and letters) which can be delivered to you in seconds over email.



How to get your Unlock Key?

The registration process has 3 simple steps:

  1. Obtain your computer's ID

      Start DNA Baser and press Help->Register->Send computer's ID menu. DNA Baser will display an 8-digit string that may look like this. This is you computer's ID!

      Send this ID together your name/company to us, via email.

  2. Receive the unlock key

      Wait for our reply. In few hours, we will send you a new number that represents the unlock key.
      Enter this unlock key exactly as given to you, by clicking the 'Receive the unlock key' menu. The name is bound to the key and you cannot change/alter it.

  3. Restart the program

My key is not working? What now?

From our previous experience we have discovered that this issue appears because the key was entered incorrectly. Please enter the key one more time. Please make sure that you enter it exactly as it is. You cannot change even a single character. Also please note that the key is composed from two fields:

 - the first string is the name (do not alter it)

 - the second string is the key (do not alter it)

Under no circumstance enter the key by typing it. This has a great potential to create problems. Instead, please use the copy/paste functions.

Hint: You can copy and paste both fields (Key and Name) at the same time. The program will know how to handle it.

Also, please make sure you are using the latest version of DNA Baser. This key may not work with versions older than 18 months. If the key is still not working, please contact us.
