FASTA to multi-FASTA converter

Description:
This freeware tool will look for all FASTA files in the specified folder and will merge their content in a single file, generating a standard or custom Multi-FASTA file.

Install process:
You do not need to install it or unpack it. Just download the program and double click to run it. It does not need additional software, updates, DLL's or Java to run. To uninstall it just delete the program.

How to use it:
Start the program, and locate the folder that contains your FASTA files. Choose one of the three available modes. Choose a name for the output file (the default name is "Result 1") then press the 'Start' button. The resulted multi-FASTA file will be automatically saved in the same folder where the input files are located.

MODES:

I. STANDARD Multi-FASTA
In this mode, the program will generate standard MultiFasta files. All files are kept as they are and merger together.

II. RENAMED Multi-FASTA
In this mode, the program will generate MultiFasta files but the program will replace the internal comments with the name of the file.

III. COMPACT FASTA
In this mode, the comments are completely removed. The content of all files will be saved in a single file, separated by a semicolon (;).
In addition, a second output file will be generated. This file contains the names of all FASTA files merged together.
